Catechists & Assistants

Catechists have a beautiful mission! You can inspire a whole generation of Catholics to follow, love and learn more about Jesus Christ each day of their lives.

We need committed adult catechists to set the hearts of these students on fire for Christ.

Volunteer catechists at St. Eugene teach religious education to parish children PreK-8th who are not attending Catholic school. Catechists also teach classes for Sacramental Prep for 1st Communion and Confession.

Parents and other adult helpers are invited to assist lead catechists in the classroom. 

• K-8 Regular Classes: Monday and Wednesday evenings 6:30-7:45 pm throughout the school year

• Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Classes: Montessori-based religious education requiring specialized training for catechists

• Confirmation Classes: For older children preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation (contact Rolando Benites)
