ONE CHURCH, GROWING TOGETHER

An update on our St. Eugene Capital Campaign plans:
Meeting Parish Needs
About

Thanks to the support of many generous and faithful Catholics in our parish, St. Eugene’s has grown tremendously over its past 64 years. We have constructed a new elementary and middle school building, a new church, a new rectory, and improved many other areas of our campus.

With funds generously pledged during the 2019 capital campaign, St. Eugene began addressing parish needs once again, first by improving accessibility to the church. Thanks to your support, parishioners are now enjoying closer parking, sidewalks, a garden and prayer area, and improved church access with automated entry and exit areas.

Where We Are

The pandemic brought numerous challenges, in some ways clarifying priorities and offering opportunities for creative solutions. Never has it been clearer that the heart of St. Eugene is the people who gather to worship, to learn, to love and to serve Christ!

Plans for the next phase of our campus development will foster parish vitality in two important ways. First, we will gain critically important ministry meeting space in the main parish hallway. At the same time, we will build a new, secure and developmentally appropriate education space for our thriving early childhood program, enhancing our ability to welcome new families.

New Early Childhood Center - A purpose-built Early Childhood Center will open up new spots in pre-k and kindergarten, all of which currently have wait lists. Designed with safety and a nurturing environment in mind, the facility will be built on the site of the old rectory at the corner of Greystone and Utica. While the design is not yet complete, we expect it to include classrooms, a multipurpose area and courtyard. Design options will include an optional storm shelter if funds allow.

Refreshed Meeting Spaces - Relocating early childhood programs to a new space will allow us to refresh and make available the meeting rooms along the main parish hallways. Currently, we cannot fill the requests for small groups to gather for Bible studies, sacramental preparation, fellowship, outreach, and more. Providing for small groups to meet during the day is a critical step to increasing the vibrancy of our parish community and living out our shared mission to help each other grow in faith.

St. Eugene is flourishing in many ways, but we need more space to continue to form parishioners of all ages - from the youngest among us to those who helped lay the first brick 64 years ago.

We are excited about the future of this dynamic Catholic community and thank you for your willingness to learn how you might help. This next step is essential for all of us growing together in Christ.

Your Invitation to Join the Campaign

Thanks to generous families like yours, St. Eugene's has secured more than $1 million to date. Now we must dig deeper. Together, we must raise an additional $3 to $4 million in pledges to move forward.

When called upon, please prayerfully consider continuing your pledge for an additional 3 to 5 years. Or, if you are new to the St. Eugene community, please join your generosity with many others who've come before and make a multi-year commitment to realize this important building project.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.”
