Choir

The Music Ministry at St. Eugene Church, directed by Cindy St. Peter, offers numerous opportunities to sing. St. Eugene Choirs include: Traditional Choir (Sunday Morning Mass) , Hispanic Choir (Noon Sunday Mass), Contemporary (Sunday Evening Mass), Faith Builders Mixed Choir (starter choir for parish and school children), Faith Builders Select Choir (advanced choir for parish and school children) and Faith Builders Show Choir (secular performance choir for parish and school children).

Hispanic Choir
Rehearsal is on Tuesday night from 7:00 - 8:30 in the Chapel for the St. Eugene Hispanic Choir. This choir sings a beautiful blend of Hispanic cultural music and leads the music every Sunday at noon Mass.

Adult Traditional Choir
Rehearsal is on Wednesday nights from 7:00 - 8:30 in the Church for the St. Eugene Adult Choir. This choir sings each Sunday morning at 10:00 Mass and enjoys a variety of styles.

Contemporary Music

Rehearsal is on Sunday evenings from 3:30 – 4:30. This group leads the music Sunday evenings at the 5:00 p.m. mass, and embraces the contemporary style of music.

Faith Builders Mixed Choir
Rehearsal is on Tuesday afternoons from 3:00 - 4:00 in the Chapel. The children meet in the school library first. Then Miss Cindy walks them to the chapel. The Faith Builders Mixed Choir is a starter choir comprised of parish and school children. This choir sings at school Masses and some weekend Masses, and at special events throughout the school year. This choir also sings at Christmas Eve Mass and at their annual Spring Concert. These children learn the techniques of performance as well as cantoring.

Faith Builders Select Choir
Rehearsal is on Thursday afternoons from 3:00 – 4:00 in the school Music Room. The children meet in the school library first. Then Miss Cindy walks them to the school music room. Faith Builders Select Chorus is a performance choir for parish and school children. The choir sings at school Masses, some weekend Masses, Christmas Eve Mass and at their Spring Concert. This choir also has an emphasis on “training the cantor” and learning to read vocal music and sing harmonies. The Select Choir goes to contest during the school year and competes with other choirs. Placement auditions are in the late spring to become a member of this choir.

St. Eugene Show Choir
Rehearsal is on Thursday afternoons from 4:00 - 5:00 in the School Music Room or the Church meeting rooms. The Show Choir is selected through an audition process that takes place in late spring for the next school year. The Show Choir attends contest and sings at special events and their Spring Concert.
